Originally from Fort Worth, Kristin Priest attended Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts for ten years and is a proud alumna. With an extensive background in the visual arts, dance, musical theatre, costume design, and music, Kristin has always been passionate about expressing herself through artistic mediums and has been fortunate to perform frequently at local staples including Kids Who Care, Casa Mañana, and Bass Performance Hall.

Post high school, Kristin attended and graduated from Kent State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design. During that time, Kristin spent a semester studying in New York City gaining field experience, networking, and honing her skills in creative/conceptual design, illustration, painting, portrait work, sewing construction, and writing. Since graduating, Kristin worked at boutiques in Cleveland, Ohio focusing on product design, sales, retail management, and event planning. Additionally, she worked with a Cleveland-based mural artist/immersive concept designer creating life size puppet sculptures. Currently, Kristin operates her own business specializing in custom garment design and wedding/formal wear reconstruction and alternations. She also works in digital design and social media management for local small businesses.

Kristin self describes as a “forever student” who is eager to learn and grow both professionally and personally. She enjoys “wearing many hats” and finding new ways to utilize her unique skillset. Kristin hopes to continue to be recognized for her self-discipline, professionalism, and ability to adapt and create in ever changing environments.

Lorie Shinn obtained her undergraduate degree from The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she majored in Marketing and minored in Advertising Art. Later, she attended The University of Texas in Arlington where she received her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

Lorie has been a teacher for over 27 years both in public and private school settings. In 2012, she opened the Moo-Neigh Art Studio for Children, where she has instructed for the last ten years. She is passionate about teaching art to children of all ages. Lorie’s goal is to instill a lifetime love for the fine arts in children while educating them with the necessary skills and art techniques to use multiple mediums like drawing, painting, sculpting, and collage to express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas..
