Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts Showcase Exhibition

Sculpture Art Show

Art Show Postponed

The recent winter weather caused a delay in our exhibit photography session. We are working on rescheduling and as soon as we are able to shoot the incredible art that our students have created, we will release the virtual gallery on this page.
While the annual Sculpture Art Show will be on display in the Main Gallery at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, we are excited to offer an additional way to virtually “walk-through” the exhibit this year!

We’ve partnered with a local photographer who will be helping us create a 360° tour of the Exhibit, with immersive pop-out pieces of featured works.

The FWAFA Sculpture Show showcases beautiful works of 3D artwork in a variety of media including clay, wood, metal, plaster, glass, fibers and other found objects. Students learned new processes and techniques for tinkering, playing, building and imagining – giving form to their creative ideas.

Virtual Gallery will be located on this page.
Access code is required for entry. Get access code HERE.

And Now...The 70s!

April 1 – 8 | Click for Tickets

Join us for a performance you won’t want to miss!

Streaming for a limited time only, And Now…the 70s! is a Theatrical Revue, featuring musical numbers, skits, and more either from or set during the 1970s. We are excited to announce that several acts have been set by Broadway actors Ahmad SimmonsJay Armstrong Johnson, and Mary Michael Patterson. Each act has been chosen and produced specifically with the pandemic in-mind, utilizing outdoor spaces, social-distancing, and masks, when needed. In lieu of a traditional, on-stage performance, FWAFA is working with a professional crew of videographers, guest choreographers and directors to film and produce a full-length, high-quality, virtual performance for all to enjoy.

Part of the TCA+A Performing Arts Series, And Now…the 70s! is on of Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts’ premiere, auditioned high school theatre productions for the 2020-2021 season. While this show is produced by the Theatre Department, any FWAFA high school student is welcomed to audition, which creates a diverse cast of performers from all fine arts backgrounds.

At Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, we pride ourselves on providing students with high-quality fine arts training and performance opportunities. This year has been uniquely challenging due to the pandemic, but our fine arts faculty and students have worked countless hours, TOGETHER, to ensure we are still able to put on the professional shows our audience knows and loves – just in a different format. More importantly, we have remained dedicated to our students, giving them a creative and safe space to continue doing what they are most passionate about.

This event is free and appropriate for all ages – And Now…the 70s!
