Music Intensive Summer Camp – Texas Center for Arts + Academics

ABOUT MUSIC INTENSIVE SUMMER CAMP:

For Ages 12-18

July 18 – July 22

The Music Intensive Summer Camp is a perfect fit for a student who wants to participate in either Region or All-State Choir competitions or might want to in the future (participation in this camp does not require a student to audition for the competition). This exciting and full schedule will help musicians hone their craft as they discover new techniques. Each class is taught by a highly qualified instructor and mirrors the curriculum that is used with our elite performance ensembles, Texas Boys Choir & Singing Girls of Texas. Parents are invited to arrive early on Friday for a presentation showing what the musicians have worked on all week.

Before Care: Begins at 8am ($10/day)

After Care: Ends at 5pm ($10/day)

$350/child

$320/child for siblings registered for the same camp

$300/child when same child is registered for multiple weeks

Daily Schedule

9:00-12:15 Alexander Technique, Yoga for Singers, Vocal Pedagogy, Music Theory, and Sight Reading

12:15-12:45 Lunch Break

12:45-4:00 Sectionals & Ensemble Rehearsals on Region & All-State Music

Supplies

Musicians will bring their own lunch, water bottle, and snacks each day.
