What is your highest degree and from what school? Bachelor of Fine Arts with Emphasis on Glass, University of Texas at Arlington

What do you love most about TeSA? I love TeSA so much that I encouraged my own boys to audition to be here, to grow and to flourish with the multiple Fine Arts opportunities.  TeSA teachers build such strong relationships with the students, showing such patience and encouragement, that I knew as a parent…this is where I wanted my kids to be!      

What is something that makes YOU unique? I served four years in the US Air Force and was stationed in Hawaii.  I also met my husband in the service (he is a Marine) and we’ve been married 22 years.

What is your philosophy? Albert Einstein once said “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”  I believe in the power of imagination.  Allowing students to have creative opportunities will encourage them to be future change-makers and innovators.  

Favorite Artist (musician, writer, director, painter, etc.): Claude Monet, Takashi Murakami, Tony Cragg

What are your hobbies? I love to create art, whether that be painting, collage, sculpture, glass, concrete, resin, or exploring a variety of mediums.  I love to be inspired by nature, to travel and to hike.
