Texas School of the Arts

Texas School of the Arts (TeSA) offers a challenging program and truly innovative environment in which Kindergarten through 6th grade students develop artistically, academically and socially. We accomplish our mission to inspire and empower students through intensive daily instruction in the fine arts and advanced academic curriculum in all grade levels. All TeSA students will explore dance, music, theatre, and visual arts weekly and have opportunities to perform and showcase their artwork, helping prepare them to continue a rigorous secondary education and life-long appreciation of the arts.

Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts

Our mission at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) is to inspire in artistically talented students a lifelong passion for learning, empowering them to achieve academic and artistic excellence. Students in 3-12th grade choose one arts path to pursue, filling their extracurricular activities with theater, dance, singing or visual arts. All students participate in our full college preparatory program to prepare students for higher education and training. Through this model, FWAFA continues to create a far-reaching legacy of excellence with graduates achieving amazing things across the country and the world.

Prestigious Academics

Don’t let our passion for fine arts fool you. We are dedicated to teaching, mentoring and inspiring our students to perform to the best of their abilities in all disciplines- and the academic stage is no different. Both schools have nationally ranked academic programs.

Rigorous Art Exploration

Our students are immersed in rigorous, conservatory based instruction in Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Using the National Core Arts Standards and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, teachers create individualized curriculum that meets the needs of every student, developing their artistic techniques and performative qualities. Students engage in classical, contemporary, and personal works and are provided opportunities to perform and/or exhibit their art in class, within the school, and around the Fort Worth community.
