Texas Center for Arts Academics TCAA Director of Choral Operations

Monday, August 16, 2021, Fort Worth, TX – Texas Center for Arts + Academics (TCA+A) is excited to announce Dr. Amy Prickett as Director of Choral Operations.

Dr. Prickett has been part of the TCA+A family since 2018. She started as a part-time voice teacher and substitute in Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts’ music department before transitioning into a full-time teaching position. Her roles at FWAFA have included teaching Music Theory I and AP Music Theory, as well as working as Production and Operations Assistant for the music department.

Dr. Prickett holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Michigan State University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Alabama. She has taught and performed professionally all over the U.S. since the late ’90s. In addition, she has directed numerous opera workshops, won several voice awards, and has been accepted for publication by the National Opera Association in The Opera Journal.
