Kiera.Principal

Due to personal circumstances, Mrs. Compton has officially resigned from her role as Principal of Texas School of the Arts (TeSA). We thank her for her service and leadership and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.

In light of this unexpected transition, we are pleased to announce that Ms. Kiera Wallace has been appointed as the new Principal of TeSA. Ms. Wallace brings with her a deep familiarity with the school, a wealth of experience, and a heartfelt commitment to student success. She most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA), TeSA’s sister campus.

Ms. Wallace’s journey in education began right here at TeSA, where she served as both a 2nd grade teacher and later as a 6th grade math teacher. Her dedication to student growth and her leadership potential were quickly recognized, and after earning her master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University, she was promoted to serve as TeSA’s school counselor. She held that position for two years before taking on the role of Assistant Principal at FWAFA in 2022.

During her time at FWAFA, Ms. Wallace has played a pivotal role in campus operations, student support, and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. Her leadership has been marked by consistency, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Ms. Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and an additional master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Angelo State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Change Leadership, further underscoring her passion for continuous growth and transformative leadership. Ms. Wallace holds Texas certifications in Core Subjects EC-6, School Counselor, Principal, and her ESL Supplemental.

“I am excited to announce Ms. Wallace back as the next Principal of TeSA. She has a strong rapport with the families, students, and staff of TeSA and has a proven track record of being an exceptional campus leader. Her return is both a full-circle moment and a step forward in advancing TeSA’s mission.”
