What do you love most about this school? My favorite thing about FWAFA is the sense of family. The way teachers invest in the students here is truly inspiring. I hope that all of our students know how deeply they are loved. 

What’s the most exciting part of your current job role? The best part of teaching 4th-grade ELAR is fostering a love of reading. I enjoy spending the year helping students develop a passion for books that will last a lifetime! 

Who in the world – dead or alive – inspires you? And why? If I could meet anyone, it would be Dolly Parton! She is one of my favorite music artists, and I admire her dedication to promoting childhood literacy. I would like to talk to her over dinner about her mission to inspire young readers.

 

What are your hobbies? When I am not at school, you’ll often find me at home watching a good reality TV show with my puppies or cooking with my husband.
