Lori. Dep Chair

We are thrilled to announce that Lori Vasquez has been promoted to Chair of the Dance Department! A proud Fort Worth native, Ms. Vasquez brings a deep-rooted passion for dance and education to this new leadership role. She began her training in the DFW area and at Arlington Heights High School under the guidance of Joy Bollinger and Rachel Wade.

With over eight years of experience as a dance educator, Ms. Vasquez has taught in diverse settings—from after-school programs in Chicago Public Schools to esteemed studios such as Texas Ballet Theater School, Dance Connection, and Texas Dance Conservatory. She holds a BFA in Teaching and Choreography from Columbia College Chicago and an MA in Teaching from Texas Woman’s University.

Throughout her career, Ms. Vasquez has choreographed extensively, presenting work on national stages and giving back to the programs that shaped her. Currently in her fourth year at FWAFA, she teaches Elementary Dance, directs Junior Company, choreographs for musicals, and co-sponsors the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.

We are confident that the Dance Department is in excellent hands under her leadership, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to inspire and elevate our program. Congratulations, Ms. Vasquez!
