What is your highest degree and from what school? Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education & Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University

What is your philosophy? I feel that a classroom should be a structured environment where children are challenged at their own level. Students should be allowed to learn by exploring their environment in a creative, nurturing way. I hope to set the tone for students as a life-long learner and to empower them to find wonder in the world around them. Oh, and also…EVERYTHING is figureoutable!

Favorite Artist (musician, writer, director, painter, etc.): WAYYYYYYYY too hard to pick just one of anything! I am an ecclectic enjoyer of many genres of music. I love reading historical fiction, literature, romance, young adult literature, educational research, and adventure. If I was forced to admit to a favorite author, I would admit to being a Jane Austen Janeite through and through.

What are your hobbies? I LOVE to read! My ideal day would be staying in cozy PJ’s and reading non-stop with warm coffee in my hand! I have a fine arts background, which includes playing the flute, piano, and singing. I also love to travel with my husband and three adult children at any given opportunity! I am definitely guilty of wanderlust, but prefer places with history, nature, and beautiful architecture. Cooking is another passion of mine. I constantly search for and read recipes. When I find something I would like to make, I research recipes for that dish and then make my own version based on multiple recipes, which I then write down in my cooking journal. I have a list of places I would like to visit based on food from that place that I would like to eat. I guess that also makes me a foodie!
