Premier Choirs

Texas Boys Choir with The Pope

Our Premier Choirs - A Lasting Legacy of Excellence

The history of our organization begins with our choirs. Thanks to the talent and choral excellence of the Texas Boys Choir, which was founded in 1946, we were able to open our first school with the mission of providing our singers more opportunities to perform all over the world. Since that time, Texas Center for Arts + Academics has grown into 2 schools and 3 conservatories with summer programs and countless opportunities for our students to engage with the arts.

Despite the many changes since 1946, our commitment and dedication to our premier choirs has remained unchanged. We are proud of their legacy within our organization and continue to instill a love of artistic expression and a desire to succeed in their young members.

Texas Boys Choir

Throughout the years, Texas Boys Choir has earned their reputation as one of the premier boys choirs in the world, having sung for popes, presidents, kings and other heads of state. With over forty professional recordings and two GRAMMY Awards, the Texas Boys Choir has been an educational and performance institution that continues to provide any boy, regardless of socio-economic or ethnic background, a structured environment in which to learn the fundamentals of world-class vocal performance.

Singing Girls of Texas

Singing Girls of Texas (SGT) is a professional-level women’s choral program with three core ensembles and two community choirs for girls at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Texas School for the Arts. As girls grow in their musicianship and self-confidence, they are able to participate high quality concerts in regional, national, and international tours.
