What is your highest degree and from what school? B.A. from Purdue University

What is your philosophy? The youth are our future,  learning should be lifelong, and perspectives should always be challenged. My philosophy comes from the Helen Keller quote: “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” I try to instill both in all of my students through my lessons.

Favorite Artist (musician, writer, director, painter, etc.): Dan Fogelberg & Styx (Music) Favorite artist is my daughter, a FWAFA grad, Natalie Smith, Alfred Hitchcock is my favorite  film director

What are your hobbies? I am an avid traveler who takes and uses my photographs to scrapbook my journeys. Scrapbooking is my only artistic ability.  (I have traveled 5 of the 7 continents.)  I am a film buff (cinephile) who collects and studies movies. I also study the Bible and teach non-denominational Christian theology.
